First and second-cycle education

The Department of Architecture and Built Environment offers most of the courses on the five-year architecture programme, where the final two years are completed with advanced studies in the second cycle.

Courses are also offered for the international Master’s programmes in Architecture, Digital Architecture and Emergent Futures, and Sustainable Urban Design.

The Department offers – to a lesser extent – courses for the five-year Engineering programmes in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Industrial Design and in Construction Technology with Architecture at Campus Helsingborg. In addition, independent courses are given..

At the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, students are offered the opportunity to do degree projects for the five-year architecture programme and the two-year Master’s programmes as well as the opportunity to do degree projects in Urban Planning and Construction Techniques with Architecture.

Degree projects in urban planning and construction engineering with architecture are also possible.

The educational qualification Excellent Teaching Practitioner (ETP)

At the department, Senior Lecturer Tomas Tägil (2006), Senior Lecturer Catharina Sternudd (2012), Professor Maria Johansson (2013), Lecturer Marit Lindberg (2018), Senior Lecturer Anna Petersson (2020), Professor Lars-Henrik Ståhl (2021) and Professor Gunnar Sandin (2022) have received the educational qualification ETP and been inaugurated into the Faculty of Engineering’s Pedagogical Academy.
