The Demolition Drama
The way we work and live is changing, and many buildings struggle to adapt. What qualities and potential are lost when they are demolished? To what cost? As the architectural practice evolves, legislation is following/must follow.
In this session at Full Scale Lab, we continue the LAS25 discussion on legislation and the role of architects in Sweden and across Europe. We also highlight House Europe!, an initiative pushing for EU legislation to prevent demolitions and promote renovations. The campaign, led in Sweden by the climate action network ACAN, aims to gather one million signatures in EU by January 2026.
