BBR Boverket´s building regulations

BBR of Possibilities in the Full-scale Lab | School of Architecture LU
What laws and regulations determine what gets built? Why does your apartment look the way it does? Welcome home to our newly built example two-room apartment!
For two weeks in March, we invite you to an exhibition and discussions on building regulations and architecture—through history and into the future. On Tuesday, March 11, we inaugurate the apartment installation in the Full-Scale Lab, A-building, Klas Anshelms väg 16 in Lund, and on Thursday, March 13, a panel discussion will bring together voices from academia, government agencies, and industry. The installation and conversations will then continue at Form & Design throughout the spring.
Boverket’s updated building regulations take effect on July 1, 2025. How will this impact the apartments being built in the future, and what will they look like? Are the concerns raised by critics justified? Who ensures that housing maintains high quality when the requirements are less strictly defined?
This nationwide collaboration is initiated by Tove Dumon Wallsten, Love di Marco, and Gustav Stjärnström, together with ArkDes, Angelica Åkerman at Form & Design, Per-Johan Dahl, Henrik Almquist and Archipelago at School of Architecture at Lund University.
